Aged Care Placement Coordination | Next Gem
Next Gem’s Aged Care Placement Coordination Program is designed to support education providers in organising, managing, and supervising mandatory placements for students enrolled in:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Certificate IV in Ageing Support
We manage the entire coordination process—from sourcing host organisations and scheduling placements to supporting students throughout their placement and finalising all required documentation.
All activities are delivered in alignment with Aged Care Standards and the specific processes of each education provider.
This end-to-end model helps reduce internal workload, strengthen training quality, and ensure all placements are organised in a transparent, safe, and fully compliant manner.

- TAFEs, private RTOs, training centres, and specialist academies in Community and Aged Care

Our Process
The Aged Care Placement Coordination Program operates under a professional, standardised workflow aligned with Aged Care Standards and the requirements of each institution.
- Intake from Education Providers
We collect information on student numbers, required placement hours, and any institution-specific requirements. - Placement Search & Matching with Host Organisations
We select suitable host facilities based on location, care setting, safety criteria, staffing capacity, and readiness for induction. - Document Check & Pre-placement Orientation
We verify all mandatory documents, explain workplace expectations, safety procedures, and host organisation requirements. - Coordination & Placement Commencement
We coordinate the induction session with the host organisation and brief students on key tasks during their placement. - Ongoing Monitoring, Support & Supervision
We track placement hours, monitor assigned duties, support students through challenges, and promptly resolve issues that arise. - Progress Reporting to Education Providers
We provide periodic reports to the school/RTO regarding student progress. - Completion & Documentation Finalisation
We collect all required documents, including placement logs, assessments, supervision reports, and standardise files for accreditation purposes.
